SEABRIGHT-LLORENTE ALLIANCE YIELDS SUCCESS WITH RECENT FRAUD CONVICTION

Huntington Beach, Calif. - (April 26, 2006) - SeaBright Insurance Company and Llorente SIU™ work together to convict Oscar Gomez of workers' compensation fraud.

Gomez was convicted of insurance fraud in the Superior Court of California, County of San Diego and sentenced to 180 days in the county jail. The jail time was stayed pending successful completion of three years of felony probation, ten hours of community service and payment of restitution in the amount of $26,275.

"This is a significant success in our fight against fraud," said Richard Seelinger, Senior Vice President of Policyholder Services for SeaBright Insurance Company. "This conviction demonstrates SeaBright's commitment to protecting the interests of our policyholders."

SeaBright and Llorente collaborated on the case. Llorente SIU™ handled the referral package and worked with Sylvia Tenorio of the San Diego County District Attorney's Office to ultimately convict Gomez.

Llorente manages SeaBright's SIU (Special Investigative Unit), provides fraud awareness training for SeaBright employees, and coordinates communication with law enforcement and claims teams nationwide.
